Fr. Basil, Aside from our "rule" of prayer we as clergy also need to be able to fall to our knees in a less regulated or regimented way. We often fall into a routine of prayer but I fear that it often is simply just a routine devoid of heart and meaning.

There are times when we are really troubled and Scripture implores us to learn to cast all of our fears, our struggles, our weaknesses on the Lord, "For my strength is made perfect in weakness." The ability to simply hit the "pause" button and be alone with God, sometimes with tears, is very powerful. God uses this time to enliven and to heal our many wounds.
